Last week, I attended the Professional Photographers of Canada conference, and have a few more events coming up in the next month where I am gonna learn stuff. Photography stuff, which I am looking forward to very much. I ran a charity photo booth last week for a local organization that I have supported for many years (and it was a blast..and no I won’t do one for you…it was also hard work to do it the way I wanted. I am not set up for that kind of event on any regular basis).
I participated in the image salon/competition for the PPOC and was very pleased to have three images accepted into the salon. (what the heck is salon? Yeah, kinda jargon-y, weird to explain, but basically it is an image competition, there is are 4 levels of accomplishment, there is a book all the accepted images are put into, there are awards..which I didn’t win but I was sitting at a table of winners, so that is kinda LIKE winning…not really, but it was fun).
Here are the images that were accepted. I might be sorta thrilled about it. The book of images from this competition is GORGEOUS and the work is top notch and I am so excited to be in there.
